Getting around Brno
By train
You can arrive by train at the main railway station (see the “Tram” section above) or at Královo Pole station. From Královo Pole station, it’s about a 5-minute walk. Follow the tram tracks, and when you see the pedestrian bridge over the road, continue toward it (along Božetěchova Street).
By bus
In Brno, you can use public transportation to get around, which includes buses, trolley buses and trams. Tickets for public transportation can be bought:
- imediatelly after you board by contactless payment card
- before boarding via SMS or a mobile app
- from ticket machines
From the main train station, you can take tram number 1 (direction Řečkovice) or 6 (direction Královo Pole, nádraží). Get off at the Semilasso stop. A 15-minute ticket should be enough. After getting off the tram, walk a short distance toward the railway station, then turn left (downhill) onto Metodějova Street. You’ll see a Baroque church directly ahead; to its right is a monastery. This monastery is part of the faculty. The entrance to the campus is a short distance from the pedestrian bridge over the road, which you’ll see when standing near the church.
By car
You can park in the nearby streets: Božetěchova, Metodějova, and Mojmírovo náměstí. These streets are in Parking Zone C. Parking is paid Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. and can be paid online. The rate is 20 CZK per hour. The first 60 minutes are free (but you must register your license plate on the website). Weekend parking is FREE.
